[ It's been silent in the room, and the dorms are roughly unoccupied for the time being. That is, outside of Aizawa, somewhere several floors down, within his office. Then, Katuski Bakugo, lingering there now over the silhouette of Izuku's body as he slumbers under the deftly placed blankets over his figure.
Katsuki's crimson eyes are locked onto him, as if at any moment he would get up and leave them, breaking a promise of some sort. However, Izuku has remained on the bed unmoved for the most part. Sleeping away for hours at a time, nearly a whole day to boot. As such, Katsuki stays there earnest in his belief in Izuku by this point, and for every word he has said since that moment he apologized to him.
Before this moment, hours ago, there was a brief exchange between the students about whether they should split into parties to keep the situation at the dorms safer. Just in case any issues arose, or to keep everyone together. Seeing as Izuku was back, there were still muddled feelings among the people regarding this. With concerns among the students and staff, what could become of it?
After a refreshing session of conversation with the UA Principal and Aizawa backing him up, it was decided that many students could leave and visit their families. Ensuring their transition into this new area had gone smoothly. Knowing that at this time, the Dorms would be safe, Katsuki Bakugo, along with Aizawa, promised that they wouldn't leave the building's enclosure.
It wasn't as if they would be gone the entire day either, really, only until the evening. Which then leaves Katsuki Bakugo there, filling his time rather pointlessly. Often, heading into the room where Izuku rested to ease his frayed nerves after having seen Izuku run off as he did—leaving only a note for him and everyone else to read in tow. Knowing full well at that moment when he ripped it up, that he was so close to losing Izuku to a world that was trying to reject his ideals.
The ideals that he wanted to see to the end, that pushed him every day to be better than who he was. If Izuku was gone, not even physically, but gone mentally, was a world where someone like Izuku can't exist, even worth being a Hero in?
It wasn't. Izuku is the only reason why Katsuki's own idea of Heroism is challenged, changed, and evolves into something more. Without Izuku, what would Katsuki be?
These thoughts flounder in his mind, and often he finds himself walking over to the bed. Ensuring that Izuku's breath rises and falls with every moment that passes. It was weird to him that he felt uncomfortable and nearly panicked because one person, whom he hated the most, almost didn't come back at the end of it all. ]
Stupid...
[ He mumbles into the silent room that only seems to carry the audible sounds of both their breaths easing in and out of their chest.
Katsuki continues to linger there over him, then nimbly and curiously, at some point. With him standing there at the side of Izuku's bed for quite some time, Katsuki reaches out unknowingly. Attempting to move strands of Izuku's hair out of his own mouth. Crossing over the freckles along his face with a slight touch of his fingertips. ]
